Rob Schmitt Calls Out Democrats’ ‘Unbelievable’ Desperation on ICE and Law Enforcement

On Friday’s episode of “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” Newsmax host Rob Schmitt criticized what he described as the Democrats’ extreme and desperate stance in their ongoing ideological battles over ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and law enforcement policies.

Schmitt stated that the left’s rhetoric surrounding law enforcement has grown increasingly “ugly” and “threatening,” adding that their attempts to undermine ICE officers reflect a deeper effort to reshape America’s justice system.

“The extent of Democrats’ desperation to win this ideological battle regarding ICE and law enforcement is unbelievable,” Schmitt said. “The left is ugly — their rhetoric is dangerous.”

ICE and the Center of Political Controversy

For years, ICE has been at the center of partisan conflict, with Democrats accusing the agency of harsh immigration enforcement while Republicans defend it as vital to national security.

Rob Schmitt argued that progressive leaders are now using ICE as a political tool to score ideological points rather than focusing on public safety.

He claimed that the left’s push to defund or limit law enforcement agencies, including ICE, represents an “erosion of basic order” and a direct attack on the institutions meant to protect American citizens.

“They want chaos,” Schmitt said. “They want to dismantle the very systems that hold society together, all under the banner of progress.”

Rhetoric and Political Strategy

Schmitt went on to highlight how Democratic politicians and media allies have, in his view, created a culture of anti-police sentiment and hostility toward border control.

He referenced recent statements from Democratic lawmakers calling for reforms to immigration enforcement and police accountability measures, claiming these are being weaponized to appease radical wings of the party.

Political analysts note that the rhetoric around ICE and law enforcement often spikes during election cycles, as each party uses the issue to rally its voter base.

Public Response and Media Coverage

The comments from Schmitt have resonated strongly among conservative viewers who see his criticism as part of a broader defense of law enforcement.

Social media reactions largely reflected political divisions — supporters praised Schmitt for “telling the truth,” while critics accused him of oversimplifying complex issues.

Nonetheless, his remarks highlight a deepening polarization over how America views law enforcement and immigration control in 2025.

Broader Implications for 2025 Politics

As the election season intensifies, the debate over ICE is expected to resurface as a major flashpoint in national discourse. Republican candidates have already made law and order a central theme, while progressive leaders continue pushing for immigration and police reform.

Rob Schmitt concluded that Democrats’ increasingly harsh tone is a sign of ideological panic, not strength.

“They’re losing the argument, and they know it,” he said. “That’s why their attacks are so vicious — they’ve run out of real ideas.”
